The 2017 Senior Games/Silver Arts took place April 29 through May 20, 2017.

Prior to the games there was a sports clinic so seniors could become familiar with the different events.
Additionally, there are two on-going activities in which you can participate to help you stay in shape:
In Andrews at the Senior Center -- call to arrange setting up Ping Pong, Corn Hole Toss and Shuffleboard.
In Murphy and Hayesville -- pickleball is played on a regular basis.  Inquire at Hayesville Rec Center and Murphy Senior Center.
Below are some of the Senior Games activities that took place in 2017:

March 21, 2017—Newspaper Insert Highlighting Senior Games appears in local newspapers.

April 5, 2017—Register by this date in order to be  guaranteed a Senior Games T-Shirt/

April 7, 2017—Sports Clinic at Konehete Park in Murphy 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Lunch provided.

April 29, 2017—Senior Games Opening Ceremony at Tri-County Community College.  Competitive athletic events held there, too.

May 1 through May 20, 2017—Senior Games/SilverArts events throughout community 

May 20, 2017—Cherokee County Senior Games/SilverArts Closing Banquet at Tri-County Community College

Aug 30 - 31, 2017 -- Golf State Finals at Tanglewood, Clemmons, NC

Sept 18 - 24, 2017 -- Senior Games/SilverArts State Finals in Raleigh

Oct 3 and 4, 2017 -- Bocce and Cornhole State Finals in Clayton 

Oct 17 - 20, 2017 -- Pickleball State Finals in Concord

December 2017 -- CCSG Marches in Murphy, Andrews and Hayesville Christmas Parades
